Software for institutions that answer to auditors.
Payments, onboarding, risk, and reporting systems built for financial services, where audit trails, access control, and reconciliation are engineering requirements rather than features added later.

What makes this
sector different.
Audit trails are a requirement, not a feature
Every change to a financial record needs to be attributable, timestamped, and reconstructable. Retrofitting audit logging into a system that was built without it is one of the most common and most expensive problems we are brought in to solve.
Money movement has no tolerance for ambiguity
Rounding, currency handling, partial failures, and reconciliation between ledgers are where financial software breaks. These decisions are made at schema level, not patched in a payment integration at the end.
Regulatory change is continuous
Reporting formats, KYC requirements, and data retention rules change on a schedule set by regulators rather than by the product team. The architecture needs to accommodate rule changes without a rewrite.
Access control must be enforced at the data layer
Hiding a button is not access control. Roles, approval limits, segregation of duties, and field level permissions are enforced server side, with tests that prove it.
Third party dependencies you cannot control
Payment gateways, KYC providers, credit bureaus, and core banking systems change without warning. Adapters with retry, idempotency, and clear failure surfaces are the only way to stay dependable.
Downtime is measured in money
Availability targets and recovery objectives are engineering requirements, stated before the build. Backup verification and tested restore procedures are part of delivery.
